Rising like an oasis in the desert, the Association offers an unparalleled lifestyle to its Members. From land activities to the deep-water lake, Barney Farms has something for everyone.
 
The Association features kayaking, catch and release fishing, a community center, large pool amenities, sand volleyball, pickleball, bocce courts, zip lines, playgrounds, green spaces, and an event lawn.
 
These amenities are for the enjoyment of Association Members and their guests and may be utilized on a first-come, first-serve basis in accordance with the Common Area Rules and Regulations. Several components of the amenities are available for rental by residents. 
 
Resident key fobs will permit access to the Barn, pool facilities, restrooms, and other related areas located in the vicinity of the community lake, known as the Raven Point Landing Recreation Center, during posted operating hours. The Association will administer access key fobs upon availability to Members in good standing with proper identification.

The Ira A. Fulton Aquatic Center is home to an expansive 12,293 square-foot surface area with multiple community pools. It offers a variety of amenities to cater to residents of all ages. For the younger residents, there is a beach entry pool equipped with fun splash pad features. Additionally, there is a 5-lane pool complete with an adjacent water volleyball "court" for the more physically active residents, and leisure space available for everyone's enjoyment. The following information provides details on usage guidelines and safety measures.

* Please be informed that pool openings on Mondays experience a delay due to necessary pool chemical treatments.  Also, pools are open year-round but are not heated.
 
The pools are diligently cleaned five days a week during the winter months and seven days a week during the summer months. While the pools are open for use during the cleaning process, we request that residents kindly cooperate with our pool service team.  It is important to note that pool closures may occur during unfavorable weather conditions, after significant storms, or in the event of an accident. You will be promptly notified of any pool closures through the Community's access plan.
 
Aquatic Center Access
The Ira A. Fulton Aquatic Center and Aquatic Center Bathrooms are accessible with resident key fobs.
 
To obtain a key fob, residents/tenants must provide a valid photo ID and proof of residency before being issued a Barney Farms key fob.  New homeowners receive two FREE key fobs from the Barney Farms HOA which can be obtained at the offices located on the second floor of the Barn.  Key fobs reported lost or stolen are deactivated and removed from the access system.  There is a $50.00 replacement charge for lost/stolen/misplaced key fobs.  All key fob purchases are NON-refundable. 
All key fobs are to be returned to the Association office by the homeowner/tenant when moving or selling the home.  
 
Pool Rules
Swimmers assume personal risk for themselves and their guests.
There are no lifeguards on duty.
Children 14 and under must be supervised by a responsible adult 18 years of age or older.  Gates are to be closed at all times and not to be propped open.

Water Safety
Based on information from the Arizona Department of Health Services, drowning is identified as the primary cause of fatality among children aged 1-4. Over the span of five years, 842 preschoolers were admitted to healthcare facilities in Maricopa County due to water-related emergencies. Fulton Homes is deeply committed to the prevention of drowning incidents, as evident through their "2 Seconds is Too Long" campaign. We urge all our Fulton Homes Barney Farms residents to prioritize safety by taking appropriate precautions.
 
Top 10 Tips For Keeping Pools Clean and Safe: 
  1. Make sure children are in swim diapers. Swim diapers are not absorbent; they are only made to contain solid waste. Change diapers as soon as they are soiled, away from pool area.
  2. Take frequent bathroom breaks and remember to stay hydrated. If there is an accident in the pool, please notify the office about it ASAP by calling 480-921-7500. We need to get the pool treated as soon as possible. If it is after office hours, please call 800-274-3165.
  3. Use an appropriate amount of sunscreen. It takes 30 minutes for sunscreen to absorb and penetrate the skin, so you should apply it at least thirty minutes before arriving at the pool.  It is also recommended that you reapply sunscreen every 2 hours.
  4. Shower before swimming to reduce the risk of waterborne illnesses. Also, remember to shower off after you swim, as that will reduce the likelihood of rashes and illness. 
  5. Do not allow children to throw coins or rocks in the pool.
  6. Do not put pool furniture in the pool.
  7. Absolutely no glass is permitted in the pool area. Broken glass in the pool area or decking will close the pool for an extended period while the pool is drained and cleaned.
  8. Wear the appropriate swim clothes. Dark color shirts and street clothes like jeans impact water clarity and quality and can cause damage to the pool drains and filters.
  9. Do not leave toys floating in the pool or on the bottom when you leave.
  10. Report inappropriate pool usage to the Association office at BarneyFarms@ccmcnet.com.

The lake is just one of the numerous amenities that make Barney Farms stand out from other communities. The Parks

Barney Farms currently has two parks with more on the way! Our parks offer playground equipment, ramadas, and green spaces to enjoy.
 
All children must have adult supervision especially as it pertains to proximity to the streets and Lake.
 

The Ramadas

Both the West Raven Nook Ramada (North of Aquatic Center - by Bocce Courts) and the Barney Farms Parkway Post Ramada (North of the Barn - by Cornhole Courts) are reservable.  Reservations may be made through Reserve My Court, an online reservation system in which residents can reserve Ramada time in advance via their computer or phone.  Directions on registering and scheduling can be found here.  All other Ramadas are on a first-come, first-served basis.
 
 
 
Please be certain to keep your key fob with you at all times in these common areas, as they are for resident use only.  Guests are to be accompanied by a resident in common spaces.
